Bell at Mount Abu

Udaipur
Long dusty drive from Pushkar through Aravali hills where marble is mined for miles. Staying in aged small hotel just behind Maharana's Palace. A bit noisy but slept well. Last night saw the sun set over the lake ... Like Indian Venice. Today visited the amazing maharana's palace and now lunch in the courtyard of our hotel. Having kingfisher beer and banana lassi with veg biryani and rajahstani traditional thali for lunch. Bought some goodies to have sent home... Kashmiri hand painted camel bone trinket boxes. Tomorrow is a 4 hour drive to mount Abu on the western Rajahstan border to see the Jain temples and wildlife reserve. Loving the cows in the busy streets with the tuktuks.
